WHAT WE DO

Community Contributions

  • Sponsor and manage monthly Senior Bingo at the Lincoln Senior Center, and sponsor their annual Christmas Party
  • Sponsor the Phoenix High School Prom with the Rotary Club held at our Clubhouse and made a monetary donation towards their prom
  • Sponsor two Chamber of Commerce Breakfasts annually
  • Letters to Santa, volunteer to write reply letters to Santa
  • Co-Sponsor Santa Breakfast with Rockstar Academy
  • Hold three Bazaars/Craft Fairs at our Clubhouse annually where the proceeds fund scholarships to Senior women at the local High Schools, Lincoln High, Twelve Bridges High and Phoenix High
  • Volunteer at the Senior Health Fair booth and donate cookies and brownies
  • Monetary donation and diapers to Lighthouse Counseling and Family Resource Center in Lincoln
  • Monetary donations to Lincoln Public Safety Foundation, the Art League of Lincoln and Salt Mine
  • Monetary donation by Woman’s Club and members to the Lincoln Girls Softball Team for their trip to the State Championship
  • Donate Gift Cards every Christmas to Lions Club for teenage

2025 Programs / Events

January

  • January 27 - Potluck and Volunteer Forum

February

  • February 12 - Bingo at McBean Pavilion – Fundraising event.
  • February 25 - General Meeting - Speaker: Sean Scully, Lincoln City Manager.

March

  • March 25 - General Meeting - Speaker: Lisa Tenero of Tenero Farms, a local olive oil producer right here in Lincoln.
  • March 29 - Masquerade Ball - This formal event is a fundraiser for the New Building being held at Orchard Creek in Sun City Lincoln Hills.

April

  • April 12 - Spring Bazaar/CraftFair - Come out to see all the wonderful items the creative vendors are selling.  Anything from jams/jellies, fudge, jewelry, puzzles, wood art and more.
  • April 22 - General Meeting - Speaker: Stephanie Berger with Silver Wishes. Learn more about this local non-profit that is bring hope and making a difference in the lives of seniors by granting one-time WOW wishes.

May

  • May 1 - Big Day of Giving - Our second year of participation!
  • May 2 - Phoenix High Prom - We open our Clubhouse to sponsor with the Rotary Club a Prom for this local High School.
  • May 10 - Mother’s Day Tea - We sell tickets for this event.
  • May 27 - General Meeting - Speaker: Kris Wyatt of Friends of McBean and the Potters Baseball.

June

  • June 24 - General Meeting - Speaker: Alexandra Weisgerber from the Alzheimer’s Association, who will be sharing the progress being made on this disease and the resources available to family members dealing with a loved one with this disease.

July

  • July 22 - General Meeting Speaker: Gary McDonald from Lighthouse Counseling & Family Resource Center, another local non-profit in Lincoln. Gary will talk about the programs and services they provide to families in Lincoln.

August

  • August 26 - General Meeting - Member Appreciation Luncheon. This is where the Board provides the food for this meeting to show our appreciation to our wonderful members.

September

  • September 23 - General Meeting - Members Only Tea. Feel free to dress up and wear your favorite hat!

October

  • October 4 - Bazaar-Craft Fair - Come to the Clubhouse to check out the creative vendors bringing their Fall creations for your buying pleasure.
  • October 28 - General Meeting - Time for a Halloween Party! A costume contest will take place and we're always amazed at the creativity of our members.

November

  • November 25 - General Meeting - Speaker:  Lisa Heinrich from Feeding the Foothills (formerly Placer Food Bank) to share their work in helping to feed families in our area. Just before Thanksgiving this year so a Fall theme is happening with Fall flavors for our food that day and grateful hearts.

December

  • December 6 - Christmas Bazaar-Craft Fair - Come out to shop for those gifts and see the wonderful and creative crafts these amazing vendors come up with!
  • December 16 - Cookie Exchange - No general meeting in December as we are all pulled in many directions. This is a fun event, bring your favorite cookies, exchange with other great bakers and enjoy singing your favorite Christmas songs with a sing-a-long led by Board President Nancy Dunavent and her husband.
